✅ Plan your budget 💰
Budgeting is key!
Think about everything you usually do in a month or on a routine day. Grocery shopping, rent, supplies, kids' school, going out with friends...
It's time to get serious and think about numbers. We can help you understand the cost of living in Barcelona so you can get an estimate of rent by neighborhood, school or tuition fees, car rentals, public transportation, groceries and other expenses.
✅ Find a place to live 🏡
From bustling cities to tranquil villages, where will you call home? We'll guide you through the Spanish rental and buying market to find the perfect place for you.
Barcelona could be divided into three main areas:
- Mountains; past Sarria station. Full of natural areas, space and tranquility.
- Central city; the Barcelona that most people know as very touristy and overcrowded. With lot of monuments and places to visit.
- On the outskirts of the central city; coastal towns. On one side are the Maresme and Costa Brava, and on the other, past the port, the Costa Dorada.
Not everything is one thing or another. Depending on your lifestyle, if you are relocating with family or alone, etc, we can recommend which neighborhoods within each area will be most attractive to you.
✅ Learn about Spanish bureaucracy 📑
And yes, Spanish bureaucracy has its own timeframes and methods. Therefore, we always recommend checking ahead of time that you have all the documents you need to bring and present. Many documents have expiration dates, such as birth certificates for minors and marriage certificates. And remember: if the certificates are not multilingual, you will need to translate them into Spanish at some point.
We are here to help you, schedule your first step with us to embark on this wonderful relocation adventure.
